A bit more about Helen Insley and how HI Lashes evolved
HELLO!
Meet Helen
My journey started from a little investment on a 1 day lash course, not realising where it would take me.
From my course, I focussed on gaining clients from friends and family which worked well through word of mouth recommendation. Social media wasn’t as heavy back then and certainly not for advertising your business like it is now. I put out an advert in a local magazine. This was actually my first outsider client and she’s still with me today, 15 years on!
As a busy mum of 3, I’ve spent time perfecting my craft in lashes around a busy family life and found it taking me in another direction by expanding into teaching. My goal was simple: to share the love for lashes. Working for a large company in the UK, I quickly saw a problem; Too many students were finishing courses feeling unsure, unsupported, and stuck.
I set out to change that so HI Lashes Training Academy was born in 2013.
My training focuses on confidence, clarity, and real support, during and after your course. If you’re serious about lashes and want a trainer who genuinely cares, you’re in the right place.

The industry has changed so much with everything focusing to online and AI.
In person courses have took a back seat to online where the knowledge is so much more in depth to what I can teach in a day with a live student. The other luxury being, you get to repeat it over and over as much as you want, so the info and techniques really take a hold.
