A bit more about Helen Insley and how HI Lashes evolved
HELLO!
Meet Helen
My journey started from a little investment on a 1 day lash course, not realising where it would take me.
From my course, I focussed on gaining clients from friends and family which worked well through word of mouth recommendation. Social media wasn’t as heavy back then and certainly not for advertising your business like it is now. I put out an advert in a local magazine. This was actually my first outsider client and she’s still with me today, 15 years on!
As a busy mum of 3, I’ve spent time perfecting my craft in lashes around a busy family life and found it taking me in another direction by expanding into teaching. My goal was simple: to share the love for lashes. Working for a large company in the UK, I quickly saw a problem; Too many students were finishing courses feeling unsure, unsupported, and stuck.
I set out to change that so HI Lashes Training Academy was born in 2013.
My training focuses on confidence, clarity, and real support, during and after your course. If you’re serious about lashes and want a trainer who genuinely cares, you’re in the right place.

Lashes gave me control over my time. They allowed me to work around my life instead of constantly trying to fit my life around work. I built my own client base, created my own income, and gained a level of confidence I never had before.
My courses are designed for complete beginners. You don’t need any background in beauty. You don’t need to be “naturally good”. You just need to be willing to learn and give yourself time to improve.
You’ll be guided step by step, focusing on building strong foundations first. Because when you learn properly, your speed, confidence, and results naturally follow. That’s how you create beautiful sets and loyal clients who keep coming back.
